Dear Friends,

I have successfully completed YHAI’s Chanderkhani Pass trekking expedition in May 2016.

Below are the informations & my experiences i would like to share with you.

YHAI has planned this trekking expedition with great care. Considering each & every aspect & keeping in mind all the required necessities of trekkers throughout the trekking tour.

The first & for most thing i would like to suggest you all is that, travel light & DO NOT carry weight more than 8 to 9 kilograms including one litter of water bottle. YHAI is providing their own bag pack free of cost to those who want to use it. Even if you bring more luggage from home, YHAI will tell you to remove it before starting trek & keep it in log room at the Base camp safely.

Except dry fruits and chocolates don’t carry any snacks.

Once you checked in, YHAI will provide you unlimited bed tea, breakfast, simple Veg. Lunch , evening tea, dinner with one sweet dish all the time & yes unlimited bournvitta milk at night. The same course of meals you will get throughout the trek everyday.

Once the trek starts, every day in the morning you will have to pack your lunch in your own lunch box. So don’t forget to bring leak proof lunch box of your own with plastic zip lock bag. One for the Roti / Paratha & second is for vegetable Sabzi.

Don’t forget to bring water proof pant / rain paint & thick material poncho which can cover your bag pack & protect you from getting wet.

Natural water is available at all the base camps & throughout the trek, so no worries for water. Just bring good quality water bottle.
Bathrooms facilities are provided at all the base camps for men & women both , even in middle of the jungle, salute to YHAI for it.

One thin cotton sleeve along with good quality slipping bag with thick pure woollen blanket will be provided to you at all the base camps assuring sound sleep in good quality water proof tents.

For photography, DO NOT carry tripod , because you will not find flat surface anywhere in the region & all the time you will end up struggle to adjust the legs of it. Also do not carry heavy Zoomed lenses & cameras. Your Mobile phone’s with 8 mega pixels & above camera is more than enough to take the scenery pictures. Yes take heavy duty power bank/s to recharge your mobile phone/s. You can carry Selfie stick for the picture/s of your own.

Electricity will be available only at 15 miles base camp. Than after you will not get electricity anywhere till you came back.

Good quality light weight & specifically trekking shoe is must.
