Million Dollar Career Tip #6

Hi, I’m Martial Arts Master Bill FitzPatrick and this is Million Dollar Career Tip #6
Before we go any further
Let me tell you the TRUTH about success in business:
It is the SIMPLE TRUTH
There are only three rules —
I don’t care if you went to the Harvard Business School — I don’t care if you have an MBA from Wharton or Stanford or Duke
If you graduate from those great schools, knowing, believing and following these three rules —
you will be successful
If you DON’T know or are unwilling to follow these three rules,
Your “GREAT” education was a waste
you are an IDIOT and doom to fail
Here are the three rules to BUSINESS SUCCESS:
1 Offer a quality product or service that the market demands and charge a fair price
2 Appreciate your customer — always say thank you and ask for more business
3 Copy success — find the successful people who have done or are doing what you want to do and do what they are doing —
That’s it — three rules
Quality product — fair price
Love your customer
Find the leaders and be like them
If you can follow these rules
You can own your own business and be a successful entrepreneur
You can work for someone else and be an INDESPENSIBLE employee
You do NOT need to know Keynesian economics
You do NOT need to know foreign trade regulations
You DO need to know
1 Offer a quality product or service that the market demands and charge a fair price
2 Appreciate your customer — always say thank you and ask for more business
3 Copy success — find the successful people who have done or are doing what you want to do and do what they are doing —
Gee, did I just put a lot of the business colleges and business graduate schools OUT OF BUSINESS
I HOPE SO
Psychology is the #2 college major
What major is #1?
Business
Millions of students sitting through hour after hour after class after class after year after year and spend tens of thousands of dollars — years of their young lives —
All hanging on a college business education?
A BORING college business education —
learning complicated financial and marketing theories applicable to BIG international businesses
BUT having VERY little relevance to the REAL world of you, as an individual, making money
Think ME, ME, ME, ME —
Think about how YOU are going to make money
Because if YOU aren’t thinking about YOU
NO one else is
Does any business student who is actually AWAKE and LISTENING in class need to analyze and remember
How Proctor and Gamble plans to introduce Crest toothpaste to the burgeoning middle class of Mumbai, India?
WHO CARES?
Exactly, you are wasting your life away listening to these clueless professors —
and then WHAT
Sitting in a circle and
sharing ignorance with your fellow business students
Don’t complain and
Don’t worry — everybody GETS an A
Understand THIS
When you pile enough BS —
higher and higher and more and more
Everything gets complicated
Everything gets more and more complicated
And, the more complicated, the more opportunities to find EXCUSES for inaction
OH, OH, starting a business is really that complicated
OK, OK, then I don’t have to do it
I can continue to sit on my fat ass playing Angry Birds for another day — another week — another year —
K.I.S.S. – Keep It Simple Stupid
NOT being a CAT you have ONE life
DO SOMETHING
Find or borrow an old lawnmower
Walk down the street
Knock on doors
May I mow your lawn
Keep knocking until someone says Yes
Mow the lawn
Do a good job
Say thank you — ask if you can come back next week —
ask if there is any other work you can do
You have a customer
You are in business
You are the president of your company
Get another customer
The DUMB and the LAZY will continually complicate businesses and careers
This is NOT you
You are an Action Principles Champion
Keep it real
Keep it simple
To thank me, don’t play dumb – make a donation on YouTube or on my website — Success.org
And yes, THANK YOU and get back to work
