1.rolled oats – 1 cup
2.ghee – 2 tbsp
3.mustard seeds – 1 tbsp
4.bengal gram – 1/2 tbsp(optional) gram dal – 1/2 tbsp(optional)
6.curry leaves – 1 tbsp
7.asafoetida – 1/4 tbsp
8.cashewnuts – 1 tbsp
9.roasted peanut – 1 tbsp
10.onion – 1 (chopped)
11.ginger paste – 1 tbsp chilli paste – 1 tbsp
13.salt to taste
14.water – 1 cup
15.lime juice – 1/2 lemon
16.cilantro for garnish


-fristly roast the oat 4-5 mints on low flame.
-then heat ghee in pan.
-add mustard seeds, asafoetida,cashenuts, roasted peanut and curry leaves.
-also add onion,ginger paste, green chilli paste.
-sauted well.
-then add roasted oats and mix well.
-further water and salt.
-mix well and cover it.
-cooked untill to oats absorbs water.
-now add lime juice and mix well.
-finally Oats Upma is ready to eat.
-garnish with cilantro.
