6 Minute Morning Workout Before Shower

6-Minute Morning Workout Before Shower

Hey everyone, welcome to fitness with Angie! For today’s video, we will be focusing on quick workouts to do before taking a shower. Morning wokrouts are hectic for me because I am so time limited between school and work so I had to find a way to fit exercise into my morning routine. I needed a morning workout routine that’s short, hassle-free and simple. It will help give you a morning workout before breakfast, which is proven to have positive impacts on your metabolism, energy, and overall health.

The simple 4-exercise workout includes bodyweight squat, push-up, plank, and bicycle crunch-
1) 15 bodyweight Squats
2) 15 pushups
3) 30 sec side plank
4) 15 bicycle crunch

→The total time to complete 1 set of all four exercises is 6 minutes. If you have more time, you can do more sets.

1) Bodyweight squats: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart you can place your hands behind your head. This will be your starting position. Begin the movement by flexing your knees and hips. Continue down to full depth if you are able, and quickly reverse the motion until you return to the starting position. As you squat, keep your head and chest up and push your knees out.
2) Pushups: when down on the ground, set your hands at a distance that is slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Your feet should be set up in a way that feels right and comfortable to you. Now with your arms straight, butt clenched, and abs braced, go down to a 90 degree angle and come back up.
3) Side Plank: Turn onto your right side with your legs extended and your feet and hips resting on the ground and stacked on top of each other. Place your right elbow directly under your shoulder to prop up your torso, and align your head with your spine. Gently contract your core and lift your hips and knees off the floor and come back down.
4) Bicycle crunch: Lie flat on the floor with your lower back pressed to the ground (pull your navel in to also target your deep abs).

Incorporating these 4 workouts into your morning will help incorporate a workout even for someone who’s always busy. Try them out for yourself and let me know how they went for you.
