Simple Breakfast Recipes that are easy to make and are healthy. There are 5 different breakfast recipes in this breakfast compilation. Poha upma recipe is made using sooji and cooked with mustard seeds, coriander seeds, curry leaves and garnished with peanuts.

Usal is a popular maharashtrian recipe can be made using a variety of ingredients like groundnuts/peanuts along with spices. Chana breakfast is made using boiling chickpea and adding black pepper powder and salt to make this healthy tangy breakfast. Sweet Poha is made using adding jaggery along with cardamom powder to beaten rice and mixing it in a bowl. Uppittu recipe is made using rawa and cooking it spices, turmeric powder.

1) Poha Upma Recipe

Poha (Beaten Rice/Rice Flakes) medium 350 gm cleaned , kept in water for 1 min and keep vertical in strainer to drain all water for 20 min
Coriander leaves a few
Raw peanuts 100 gm
Green chilly 50 gm
Curry leaves a few
Onion chopped 2
Mustard seeds 1 spoon
Turmeric powder 1 spoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Oil 3-4 tablespoon

Heat a pan and add oil heat it
Add mustard seeds
Add curry leaves
Add green chilly
Stir a little
Add onion and fry until golden brown
Add peanuts
Mix everything for 1 min
Add salt
Add turmeric powder
Mix well and cook for 1 min with lid closed
Add poha and mix all well
Add coriander leaves and mix
On medium flame cook with lid close for 4-5 min
Add raisins mix well
Take off stove
Spicy and Instant Poha is ready to serve.
Serve Hot with Tea.

2) Groundnut Usal Recipe

Fresh Raw peanuts 1/2 kg (Boiled and peeled it becomes 1/4 kg)
Coriander leaves a bunch
Green chilly 8-10
Curry leaves a few
Onion 1 big chopped
Salt 1/2 tablespoon
Turmeric powder 1 spoon
Oil 2-3 tablespoon
1 spoon Mustard seeds

Add raw groundnuts in cooker with 1 teaspoon salt and 1 glass of water and cook until 3-4 whistles
Peel the groundnuts and get the peanuts
Heat a pan and add oil and heat it
Add mustard seeds
Add curry leaves
Add green chillies
Add onion and fry until golden brown
Add peanuts
Mix well
Add salt
Add turmeric powder
Add coriander leaves
On full flame mix well for 1 min
On medium flame cook for 1-2 min with lid closed
Mix well
Take off stove
Shenga/MoongPhali/Peanut/Groundnut Usali is ready.
Serve Hot

3) Simple Chana Breakfast

Chana (Chickpea) 400 gm
Nimbu ka ras (Lemon Juice) 1
Salt as per taste
Kali Mirch powder (Black pepper powder) 1 Teaspoon

Wash and soak chana in water overnight for 8-10 hours
In a cooker, Add chana
Add water 1 glass
Add salt as per taste
Cook until 5-6 whistles until water is dried
Take the boiled chana in a bowl
Add black pepper powder
Add lemon juice
Add little salt
Mix it thoroughly
Serve Hot.

4) Meethe Poha Recipe

Jaggery grated 200 gm
Coconut 1 big grated, the more the good
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Poha (Beaten rice/Flattened Rice) 400gm medium thick. Cleaned and washed thoroughly
Cardamom powder 1/2 spoon

Wash poha water and keep it in water for 1 min and then strain the poha to dry it for 15-20 min to let the water drain by keeping it in strainer vertically
Now take grated coconut in a bowl, add grated jaggery, cardamom powder, salt and mix well
Add the strained and dried poha and mix everything thoroughly
Garnish with coconut
Serve this Quick Poha breakfast recipe.

5) Sooji Upma/Rawa Upma (Uppittu) Recipe

Semolina 400 gm
Onions 2-3
Green chillies 8-10
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
Curry leaves
Few chopped coriander leaves
Moong dal 2 Tablespoon

Heat the pan and roast sooji for 5 min
Roast moong dal for 2 min with 1 Tablespoon Oil
Heat the pan and add 100 ml oil, mustard, curry leaves, stir and tadka/fry for 1/2 min
Add chopped onion and chilly, stir cook until golden brown on full flame
Add hot water 3/4 ltr, add salt and haldi stir it
When it is boiling add Sooji
Mix and stir well until water dries
Add moong dal, mix and put the lid and cooked for 5 min
Sooji Upma is Ready. Serve Hot.
